Feb 28, 2010 Safest Way to Download Madden 08 on PC? Hi, I want to play Madden 08 on my computer but don't have a disk drive and the download isn't sold anymore. Is there any reliably safe way someone can explain to me to avoid viruses/trouble? For Madden NFL 08 on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Bad controls in the PC version (big surprise!)'. EA called an audible by bringing Madden 19 to the PC. Football Idiot finally has a brand new Madden title to tinker with. Personally, I will probably never stop playing Madden 08.

Madden NFL 08 (GC) has a native 16:9 display option, but it requires enabling it in its internal options and setting Dolphin's Aspect Ratio graphics setting to 'Auto'. Using the widescreen hack with this title is not recommended.

Updated Start Screen[edit]

Online play[edit]
EA has shut down the multiplayer matchup servers. However, there are workarounds, including entering the other player's IP address manually or using a VPN. There are active leagues, including this one.
'Synchronization Error' can occur if both players have added any mods or additional folders that do not coincide with each other. Rosters, Saved players, and other items that are saved by the player in the game do not count as issues.
Issues unresolved[edit]
Windows 8 compatibility issues[edit]
The program has compatibility issues with Windows 8. When attempting to start the program, intermittently a message will pop up stating 'This application is not compatible with the installed operating system. Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or better.' and the program will not start. Using compatibility mode for Windows 7, XP SP3, or Vista does not solve the problem.[citation needed]
Currently there is no fix.
